A federal grand jury indicted 214 people on felony rioting charges in connection to the riots that broke out in downtown Washington, DC, on Inauguration Day.

Police arrested 230 people after the rioters smashed storefronts and bus stops, hurled rocks at police and set fire to a limousine.

Six police officers were injured during the riots as they exchanged flash-bangs with protesters throwing firecrackers and debris at them.

Those who have been indicted face a possible sentence of up to ten years in prison and a fine up to $25,000

The indictment accuses the 209 of using a tactic called ‘Black Bloc’ to conceal their identities by wearing black clothing and face coverings.

Some of the protesters brought with them hammers, crowbars, bricks, rocks, flares and firecrackers.

Court paperwork from January suggests the group of rioters did more than $100,000 in damage, according to the DailyMail.
