These four people were arrested in connection with the death of a 9-year-old boy, which the sheriff calls the worst thing he’s ever seen. Cameron Hoopingarner weighed only 15 pounds when he died. The boy was blind with cerebral palsy and bedridden for most of his life the investigation reveals.
He never went to school. The boy’s cause of death was severe malnourishment and ruled a homicide. Of the four suspects charged with neglect, 2 were Cameron’s legal guardians since he was 3 days old.
