Five dinosaur egg fossils believed to be 70 million years old were discovered recently in a construction site near the city of Foshan, south China’s Guangdong Province. The 5 dinosaur egg shells were engraved on a red sandstone.

The fossil is 13-14 cm in diameter, with black metal line inside. Although the egg shells were damaged to varying degrees, they were filled with red sandstone inside, with veins clearly visible.

The position of the fossil was about 7-8 meters deep in the ground. Archaeologists confirmed the eggs to be 70 million years old, belonging to the phytophagous dinosaurs in the late Cretaceous period.
