8-Year-Old Camden, NJ Girl Shot In The Head; 5k Reward Posted

NEW JERSEY — The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County Police Department are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the shooting of an 8-year-old girl.

The shooting occurred at 8:28 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in the 900 block of South 8th Street. Responding officers from the Camden County Police Department found the victim who had been playing outside on the side walk when the shooting occurred. She was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. She is listed in critical condition.
