A Dead Whale Has Washed Ashore In Coney Island — [PHOTOS]

State Department of Environmental Conservation officials say a minke whale was found washed ashore on in Coney Island Monday.

The cause of the animal’s death is not yet known.

The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation was sending a crew to the scene to assess the situation, News12 reported.
