GREENVILLE, S. Carolina — Officials went to the home of 21-year-old James Tyler Baucom early Saturday morning to serve warrants for traffic violations.
Deputies said Baucom refused to come out of the house, so they went in to arrest him while accompanied by a K-9.
Yep, Officer K-9. [The animal Deputy’s name hasn’t been released.]
The suspect was found hiding in a closet and punched the K-9 in the face, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said he then kicked the dog twice and began fighting with officers.
The dog responded to the threat.
Baucom was eventually taken into custody and charged.
No Officers were seriously injured during the incident.
