SAVANNAH, Ga. —
According to an e-mail sent by #SSU, public safety has lifted the campus lockdown and traffic has resumed.

At least one person has been transported to the hospital after a shooting at Savannah State University. The Campus is on lockdown. The shooting happened near the student union.

Police were searching for the gunman. “The SSU campus is on lockdown following a shooting incident this evening at or near the Student Union,” the school said in a statement. “A male victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.”
Two Savannah State students tell WSAV a fight near the student union resulted in someone pulling out a gun and shooting a single individual.
