BSO: “Here is a warning to social media users. A new hoax has been circulating on social media networks. Here’s how it works: you click on a link on your Home page, and your phone will automatically dial 911! A local woman was able to stop the calls to 911 by turning off her phone.

This is a major public safety issue. Our call takers need to concentrate on responding to real emergencies and not pranks. Make sure you trust the source of any link before you click on it.”
