BENBROOK, Texas —  The Benbrook Police Department is searching for Caitlyn Williams and police are looking for Jesse Williams in connection with her abduction. The child was riding a pink/purple/white bicycle with a pink seat and pink grips. Law enforcement officials believe the child to be in grave or immediate danger.

(NBC-DFW) — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old girl after she was last seen in Benbrook Friday afternoon, police said. Police have issued an arrest warrant for the girl’s uncle in connection with her kidnapping.

Police said they are looking for Jessie Nicholas Williams, 24, of Arlington in connection with the kidnapping of his niece Caitlyn Elizabeth Williams, of Benbrook.

Police tell NBC 5 they believe Jessie Williams took Caitlyn on Friday, since there have been two sightings of the pair in Fort Worth over the weekend. They were spotted at a hotel on Alta Mesa Boulevard at I-35 and at a hair salon on Bryant Irvin Road.

Police also believe Caitlyn’s appearance has been altered.

“She was described as having long wavy brown hair, we have reason to believe that her hair may have been cut short to alter her appearance,” said Benbrook Police Officer Sandy Eubanks.

Police said they have recovered a rental car they believe the pair were in and the family hasn’t been able to reach Jessie Williams.

“Because the other family members can’t contact him, obviously that elevates the level of concern we have for the child,” said Eubanks.

Caitlyn’s great grandmother, Linda Bullard, she spoke to NBC 5’s Jeff Smith and made a plea for Caitlyn’s safe return.

“Jessie, please, you know Caitlyn needs to be at home, she needs to be in school, she needs to be with her friends and her mom and her dad and me. Please bring her home,” Bullard said.

The FBI and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office are helping with the search.

Neighbors tell NBC 5’s Jeff Smith that FBI agents canvassed the neighborhood along Wade Hampton Street on Monday night. They said the two agents knocked on doors and asked to come inside and look around.

Neighbors said the agents asked a lot of questions about Caitlyn, her great grandmother and how often she rode her bike alone in the neighborhood. They also asked if neighbors recognized her uncle.

“The family has only been in this area for a short period of time. And we haven’t had any prior calls, there’s no call history with regard to the address that they live. So the information’s very limited,” said Eubanks.

Police say Caitlyn Elizabeth Williams is described as a white female, approximately four-feet, four-inches tall and 95 pounds with brown, wavy hair. She was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt with a Benbrook Field Day logo, blue jeans and pink and black tennis shoes.

Police say Jessie Nicholas Williams, 24, is described as a white male, five-feet, 10-inches tall, 200 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He lives along South Bowen Street in Arlington.
