Border Agents Nab 3 Wanted Fugitives on Drugs, Larceny, and Sex Offense Charges

STERLING, Va. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested three wanted persons at Washington Dulles International Airport over the weekend.

-Oguzhan Baris Sagir, 35, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., on Montgomery County, Md., charges of felony theft, larceny, and misleading and false statement to an officer. Officers arrested Sagir on Saturday as he attempted to board a flight to Germany.

-Joshua Kucey, 43, of Centennial, Colo., on Arapahoe County, Colo., charges of dangerous drugs, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and obstructing a peace officer. Officers arrested Kucey on Saturday as he attempted to board a flight to the United Kingdom.

-Israel Antonio Morales, 59, of Silver Spring, Md., on Montgomery County, Md., sex offense charges. Officers arrested Morales on Friday after he arrived aboard a flight from El Salvador.

In all three arrests, CBP officers confirmed with the wanting jurisdiction that the warrant remained active, verified the subject’s identity, and turned all three over to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police officers.

“These warrant arrests illustrate how Customs and Border Protection collaborates with our law enforcement partners to return fugitives to justice, protect victims’ rights, and to help keep our communities safe,” said Wayne Biondi, CBP’s Port Director for the Port of Washington Dulles.
