TUCSON, Ariz. – Border Patrol agents from the Nogales Station arrested a 46-year-old Mexican man Tuesday who was previously deported as an aggravated felon and sex offender.

Following the arrest of Rene Murillo-Almansa, west of Nogales, Arizona, agents conducted a records check and learned of his extensive criminal history with charges dating back to 1990.  Murillo was convicted for raping a child in 1994 and sentenced to 26 months in jail and two years of probation.

Murillo was ordered removed from the U.S. last month and now faces felony immigration charges for illegal re-entry.
