HARDEEVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA — A Deputy and a police officer were shot while responding to a domestic dispute Thursday in Hardeeville.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says the deputy was struck in the neck and the officer in the forearm.
According to WJCL, the gunman was ‘shooting at a woman and the suspect went inside a Sanders Road home and fired at a deputy and a Hardeeville Police officer.’
The unnamed suspect was fatally shot by police.
Both wounded law enforcement officers were transported to the hospital via helicopter—both are in ‘critical but stable’ condition.
