COLORADO — Police responded to an active shooter in downtown Denver on Tuesday.
The initial call came from 15th and Wynkoop, the Alliance Center.
According to police, a gunman shot a woman before killing himself. The woman is critical and in emergency surgery.
Police urged people in the area to shelter-in-place as they searched for the gunman.
Roads are closed in the area.
The scene has since been secured, police said.
