KENTUCKY — A 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) soldier was apprehended this afternoon by military police after they responded to a report of an active shooter near Campbell Army Airfield.
There are no reported injuries.
“The post is secure and there is no danger to the post community,” the installation wrote on Facebook.
The gates are open.
No further details were available.
Fort Campbell is a United States Army installation located astride the Kentucky-Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Clarksville, Tennessee.
