KENTUCKY — **UPDATE** School Officials say “Campus emergency is over.”
Per Courier-Journal: “Lt. Col Carl Yates with the Jefferson County sheriff’s office said police received an anonymous call claiming to have heard shots fired inside a JCTC building. Police swept the building and found nothing. The Sheriff’s Department is assisting Louisville Metro Police Department in the situation.”
Initial report: There are multiple local media reports of an active shooter situation at the Jefferson community and technical college in Louisville.
The school sent a text alert to students referencing a “violent incident” and telling them to “evacuate safely or seek cover in a locked room if possible,” Kait8 reported.
The school is on lockdown. There is a massive police presence and several ambulances were seen at the school.
Police are sweeping the building.
