KANSAS –**UPDATE: Missing girls found safe in abandoned car, suspect at large**
Earlier report: Police in Olathe have issued an Amber Alert for a maroon 2009 GMC Acadia, KS license plate 617HNH.
A white male suspect reportedly carjacked a vehicle with 2 children inside.
From KCTV: “Olathe Police Sgt. Bryan Hill said officers got a call of suspicious activity at a used car lot in the area of South Kansas Avenue and West Elm Street. Officers arrived and found the suspect. They believe he was trying to steal a vehicle from the used car lot.
When they confronted the suspect, police said he ran to a nearby tire shop, up to a running SUV and jump in the driver’s seat. He drove off with the two children in the back seat.”
Call 911 if the children, vehicle or suspect are spotted.
