NORTH CAROLINA — American flight 5320 struck a deer during takeoff at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Wednesday afternoon.
The plane, bound for Gulfport, Mississippi, then immediately landed and was leaking fuel.
No passengers or crew members were injured—the deer was killed.
The airport is open and operational.
