13-Year-Old With Replica Handgun Shot By Baltimore Police

MARYLAND — Investigators with the Baltimore Police Department were on the scene of an officer-involved shooting Wednesday afternoon.

According to WJZ, officers shot a teenager holding a replica semi-automatic pistol.

The incident occurred near the McKim Community Center.

Police say the boy attempted to run when approached by Officers and was ultimately shot.

The boy, 13, is expected to survive his injuries.

The teen’s mother has been contacted and she allegedly told police she was aware her son was armed with the toy.

The investigation is ongoing.
