A Brooklyn man was arrested for reportedly stalking the daughter of former President Barack Obama.
According to the New York Daily News, on April 10th, Jair Nilton Cardoso traveled to the Manhattan building where Malia Obama is interning and caused a scene before being removed by her Secret Service detail.
Cardoso ‘put a sign in the window and loudly begged her to marry him’, the report said.
48 hours later, the 30-year-old suspect walked close to Malia as she walked out of a building in the West Village.
Police say the suspect was arrested and taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation—charges are pending.
Obama was not injured.
