A Chattanooga police officer was shot in the arm today on Mission Avenue, police confirmed.
The officer has since been transported to a local hospital.
The shooting happened at 1005 Mission Ave. at 9:17 a.m. Eastern
Police are now searching the surrounding area for the suspect.
