The FBI has notified all Philadelphia area colleges and universities about a recent social media posting threating violence at a Philadelphia area college or university on Monday, October 5.
Since the shooting last week at a community college in Oregon, the FBI has seen similar social media postings throughout the country.
The FBI says there is no specific threat to a particular college or university.
Drexel Public Safety plans to provide increased patrols on Monday.
All Drexel police officers and Allied Security officers are aware of the warning and have been briefed on the need to report and investigate any suspicious person or package.
