An FDNY EMT was killed in the Bronx in Thursday night when she was run over by their own ambulance which was stolen.

Sources tell Breaking911.com that an ambulance crew was notifed by a pedestrian that someone was riding on the back bumper of the ambulance. The driver stopped and exited the ambulance to tell the man to get off when he suddenly jumped into the drivers seat and drove over the EMT at the intersection of White Plains Road near Watson Avenue at around 7:00PM.

A Good Samaritan tried to get the man out of the driver’s seat, as did the EMT.

Eventually, the EMT grabbed onto the ambulance and was dragged.

The suspect then backed up and ran her over.

Police say the ambulance made a left turn on Watson and crashed into a parked car.

Tragically, FDNY EMT Yari Arroyo was killed instantly. She was a 44-year-old mother of five and a 14-year veteran of the FDNY.
