From WFAA: Investigators said Johnson admitted to the crime and was apparently upset about being evicted from his home recently.

Multiple people witnessed the murder and called police. Officers responded to the trail near 8500 Walnut Hill Lane within minutes.

“He just attacked him. He told our homicide detectives that he was angry about a situation and he just picked somebody to murder. I believe there’s more to that story. It’s just very unusual. It’s quite shocking,” Dallas police Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin said.

Earlier today, shortly after the fatal hacking, police found the body of a murdered woman who was missing since leaving her home for Church. Police say the killings don’t appear to be related.
