Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly told investigators that Roger Ailes made unwanted sexual advances toward her about 10 years ago, New York magazine reported, citing two people briefed on 21st Century Fox Inc.’s probe of its top news executive.

The unwanted advances occurred when Kelly was a young correspondent at Fox, according to the magazine. Kelly, now one of the top personalities at Fox News, described the events in detail, according to the magazine, which didn’t elaborate.

Nathaniel Brown, a spokesman for 21st Century Fox, parent of the Fox News, declined to comment. Representatives for Kelly didn’t respond to an e-mailed request for comment. Ailes also didn’t respond to an email.

Kelly has been silent as other Fox News personalities have defended Ailes, who was accused of sexual harassment and sued by former anchor Gretchen Carlson. The magazine reported Monday that 21st Century Fox Co-Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch and his sons James and Lachlan have agreed that Ailes, the chairman of Fox News Channel, should depart. The publication reported Tuesday that Ailes has an Aug. 1 deadline to resign.

The news and entertainment company said on July 6 it would review allegations about Ailes’s behavior in a probe being led by the law firm of Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison. Fox said on Monday its review of the accusations hasn’t been completed.

Lauren Nussbaum, a spokeswoman for Paul Weiss, declined to comment.
