Gun Fired Inside Bush Intercontinental Airport

HOUSTON, Texas — A passenger’s gun discharged around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at the ticket counter at Bush Intercontinental Airport, according to reports.

From Click2Houston: — “Airport officials said a man was taking a weapon out of his bag at a Delta Airlines ticket counter at IAH’s Terminal A to check it when the gun discharged.

The man was returning to Kansas after visiting friends in Houston. Police said he realized when he got to the airport that he still had his gun with him.” —

The man was arrested and could face misconduct charges.

No one was hit by the gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Flights are running as normal.
