PHOENIX — An unidentified suspect was arrested at the Phoenix Comicon event Thursday after police say he was carrying multiple firearms and wanted to harm officers.
Cops say they recovered a shotgun, three handguns and multiple knives after struggling to take the man into custody.
KVOA reported: A woman reported that the man was posting photos of Phoenix police officers from the event on social media. Police immediately responded to take him into custody.
Police officials believe the man was planning to attack officers, but he was taken into custody before ever drawing or pointing a gun.
Attendees were not screened for weapons upon entry to the event.
No injuries were reported. Charges were pending.
