ALERT: Jasper Spires Wanted For Murder In D.C.

WASHINGTON — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch obtained an arrest warrant for Jasper Spires (pictured below) who is wanted for First Degree Murder While Armed for the stabbing death of 24-year-old Kevin Joseph Sutherland which occurred on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at approximately 12:50 pm, aboard a train approaching the NOMA-Gallaudet Metro Station, located in the 200 block of Florida Avenue, Northeast.

If this subject is seen call 911 for immediate police response. Do not approach this person or attempt to apprehend him.

Anyone with information on this suspect’s whereabouts should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
