FLORIDA — Police were responding to a reported explosion in Cantonment on Sunday.
The scene is at the Ascend Plant, 3000 Old Chemstrand Road, WEAR reported.
No immediate injuries were reported.
Ascend Materials released the following statement: “There was an explosion earlier today at the Airgas plant located adjacent to the Ascend Performance Materials plant in Cantonment, FL. Ascend personnel and contractors are all accounted for at this time. The Ascend plant supplies nitrous oxide to the Airgas plant. At this time, Ascend is cooperating with local authorities and first responders.”
The business says on it’s website: ‘Ascend Performance Materials LLC manufactures and supplies chemicals, fibers, and plastics products for use in various commercial and industrial products.’
