TENNESSEE — The Hamilton County District attorney in Chattanooga says six children were killed in a school bus crash Monday.

The incident happened at 313 Talley Road, around 3:15 p.m.

Over 20 people total were transported to hospitals.

The ages of the riders ranged from kindergarten to fifth grade–the bus was coming from Woodmore Elementary.

Photos from the scene show the bus wrapped around a large tree.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Local school officials say counselors will be on hand tomorrow to speak with other students.
