UPDATE: Roosevelt Champion III, Found Hanging From Tree In Greene County, Ga.

    GREENSBORO, Georgia — Investigators are responding to a man found hanged in a tree in Greene County, Ga.

    UPDATE: Police say the man found was questioned in homicide case last week. His family says he cooperated, reporter @NathaliePozo said in a tweet.

    EARLIER: A passerby on Martin Luther King Dr. made the discovery in a wooded area around 11 a.m., according to 11Alive. The deceased, Roosevelt Champion III, 43, was found hanging behind a house by a ‘plastic strap,’ the station reported. The man’s body showed no sign of previous injuries. The man’s race has not been released.

    The man was not a resident at the nearby home. An investigation is ongoing. Greene County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 15,994. The county seat is Greensboro.
