Fort Lauderdale, FLORIDA — Willie Ward allegedly killed his sister during an argument over an electric bill Friday.
During the argument, Ward punched punched the woman twice in the head.
29-year-old Jaquinda Wright was pronounced dead at Broward Medical Center and Ward went on the run.
According to police, Wright was pregnant when she died and that could affect the charges against Ward.
“We do know she was indeed pregnant, however the decision on whether or not he’ll face additional charges has not been made yet,” Fort Lauderdale Police Capt. Frank Sousa told WPLG-Ch. 10.
The suspect was arrested Sunday without incident. Details about Ward’s apprehension were not immediately released.
There had been an active warrant for his arrest in connection with this murder, police said.
