Police in London were responding after a black cab jumped a curb and struck pedestrians in the Covent Garden area of the city.
There are reports of casualties and people trapped after the taxi came to a stop into a building.
“The driver of the taxi stopped at the scene and has been detained by police,” officials said in a press release. “This is being treated as a serious road traffic collision, and not thought to be terrorist related.”
