FLORIDA — MMA athlete Jordan Parsons has died following a hit-and-run crash in Delray Beach. He was 25.

Parsons was injured after being hit last weekend while crossing the street. His leg had been amputated and his organs were failing.

Bellator President Scott Coker issued a statement:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear member of the Bellator family, Jordan Parsons. Jordan was an exceptional athlete and a rising star in the sport. But more importantly, he was an exceptional young man.

Jordan was hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, and a pleasure to be around. He represented all the reasons we love this sport.

It is a terribly tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.”

Investigators know someone driving a grey 2013 Range Rover Sport hit Parsons and fled as he lay dying on Federal Highway.

If you have information about the driver but want to remain anonymous and earn a reward, call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS (8477), online at www.crimestopperspbc.com or by texting [email protected].
