CALIFORNIA — According to developing reports, a newborn baby has been found in a stroller on a South Los Angeles sidewalk with it’s umbilical cord still attached.
The scene is at Vermont Avenue and Dana Street.
According to KTLA, police made the discovery while responding to a ‘child abuse’ call around 1 p.m.
The infant is alive and stable at a hospital, the report said.
From KTLA: The area where the child was found is Adams-Normandie, north of USC. A church, elementary school and a strip mall with a Ralphs grocery are nearby.
The investigation is ongoing. It’s unclear if police are actively searching for the parents.
No further details were available.
