A UCLA football player has been arrested on Thursday on suspicion of raping a female which took place last year, police have said.
During October 19, 2014, the student initially reported to police that she had met a man at a house party in Westwood, she explained how she fell asleep and awoke to find him sexually assaulting her, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The victim went on to tell police that she did not know her attacker, investigators used DNA and photos to identify Adam Searl as the suspect, officer Jack Ritcher confirmed.
Searl, aged 20, was then taken into custody on campus without any incident, he was then booked on three counts of rape and was being held on $300,000.
Searl is a sophomore punter for the Bruins, according to the team’s website.
