A Sergeant at Fort Sam Houston says the San Antonio Army post has been put on lockdown for an undisclosed reason.
The official says the lockdown began Sunday evening, and it’s undetermined how long it will last.
The base was established in 1910 – the ninth-oldest Army installation in the country. Fort Sam Houston now encompasses 3,000 acres and is home of military medicine and part of Joint Base San Antonio.
