Two Dead, 1 Injured After Plane Crashes In Westhampton Beach, New York

NEW YORK — A small airplane with three people on-board crashed in Westhampton Beach Sunday.

Two people were killed and one was seriously wounded, according to several local media outlets.

The FAA says the plane crashed into several trees as the pilot was practicing take-offs and landings at the Gabreski Airport in Suffolk County.

The victim who survived was medevaced to a hospital.

The FAA will lead the investigation.

Francis S. Gabreski Airport is a county-owned, joint civil-military airport located just north of the central business district of Westhampton Beach.
