A Texas Department of Criminal Justice transport bus travelling on I-20 in Ector County near Penwell, Texas, has plunged off an overpass and into a train. There are at least 10 dead, and 5 injured.
Two corrections officers died in the crash, as well as eight offenders.
One additional corrections officer and four offenders were transported to a nearby hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
The bus was reportedly traveling from Abilene and fell off an icy highway overpass. The bus fell down an embankment before colliding with the train, the Department of Corrections announced.
