ALASKA — On November 30th, 2015 at about 3:34pm, the Juneau Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a male reporting he had found a deceased subject inside a residence in the 400 block of Kennedy Street.

JPD officers and Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to the area. 70 year old Stephen “Greg” Fisk, the Mayor of Juneau, was pronounced deceased on scene.

Fisk was recently elected as Juneau mayor. He won the October election. He was 70 years old.

He leaves behind his son Ian and grandson Kai.

City and Borough of Juneau clerk Laurie Sica said the city will issue a press release tomorrow with details on how city government will operate. The city’s deputy mayor is assemblymember Mary Becker.

KTOO reported Juneau police were seen in the home with flashlights.

The investigation continues.
