Shooting Reported at McCarran Int’l Airport Near Vegas

NEVADA — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was responding after multiple reports of shots fired at the McCarran international airport near Las Vegas on Monday evening.

Two people were shot, police said.

Officers and EMTs were on scene at a parking garage. The airport connector tunnel was also closed for a short time.

“The shooting appears to be domestic violence-related at this time, this is an ongoing investigation,” police said on Twitter.

The airport later said in a statement that the gunman was ‘no longer’ on the property.

McCarran International Airport is the primary commercial airport serving the Las Vegas Valley, a major metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is located in Paradise, about 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas.
