VIDEO: Senate Votes to Bar Sen. Warren From Speaking on Floor

WASHINGTON — Senator Elizabeth Warren was cut off from speaking on the Senate floor about Attorney General nominee Senator Jeff Sessions, by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, on Tuesday. Warren was reading a letter written by Coretta Scott King.

The Senator is found in violation of of Rule 19 by ‘impugning Sen. Sessions.’

According to Rule 19, Senators shall not be allowed to “directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator.”

The Senate voted 49-43.

Coretta Scott King was a civil rights leader, and the wife of Martin Luther King, Jr.
