STARTANBURG, SC — The University of South Carolina-Upstate campus was placed on lockdown Tuesday as police searched for a gunman.
A shooting was confirmed at the Campus Edge Apartments and the suspect was believed to be on foot and heading toward campus.
According to the University, the suspect is a black male wearing khaki pants and a grey hoodie—‘carrying an automatic weapon.’
At least one person was wounded.
