LANCASTER, New Hampshire — At least two people have died and more than a dozen others were injured after a tent collapse at the Lancaster fairgrounds Monday evening.

An unknown number of people may be trapped.

The Governor has declared a state of emergency to assist in the rescue effort.

A circus-type event was scheduled for tonight at the venue, WMUR reported. Thunderstorms were reported in the area at the time of the collapse.

Multiple agencies are responding.
