UPDATE: De’Eris Brown, 21, Confesses To Murder of 9-Year-Old Ferguson Girl

ST. LOUIS — A suspect is in custody after a 9-year-old St. Louis girl was shot and killed while doing her homework.

De’Eris Brown, 21, faces three counts of armed criminal action, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon: shooting at a building and second degree murder. Brown is being held for $750,000.

Police say Brown confessed to the shooting.

Nine year old Jamyla Bolden was shot and killed by someone shooting at her home in the 9200 block of Ellison Drive in Ferguson about 9:00 PM on Tuesday August 19th. Her mother was wounded as well. Jamyla Bolden, was doing her homework in her mother’s bedroom at the time of the shooting. Police are investigating this Homicide and they need your help to find the subject(s) responsible.

Update…The Fraternal Order of Police, St. Louis County Lodge 15 have added $1000.oo to the Reward for information that leads police to arrest the subject(s) responsible for Jamyla’s homicide.
