BREAKING: Teen, 4-Year-Old, Shot In Broad Daylight In New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 17-year-old man and injured a 4-year-old boy. The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m., in front of a residence in the 5900 block of Boeing Street.
Officers were called out to investigate a call of two males shot in front of a residence. When officers arrived, they found the unresponsive 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, while the young boy sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm. Both victims were transported to the hospital where the older victim died. The surviving victim is listed in stable condition.  

The investigation is on-going and detectives are actively investigating to determine a motive in the incident.

The Coroner will release the identity of the victim after proper notification of family members.
