LIVERMORE, CALIF. – On Monday, about 2:00 am, CHP-Dublin Officers responded to a 911 report of an injured woman on the ground near mile marker 8.49 on Tesla Road in rural Livermore.
CHP Officers and Alameda County Fire Paramedics responded to the scene and discovered a 19 year old woman suffering from gruesome life threatening stab wounds and other injuries.
A decision was made to life flight the victim to Eden Hospital Trauma in Castro Valley where she was pronounced dead about 4:30 am. Prior to her death, she was able to provide police with pertinent information about her attackers.
The victim was identified as Lizette Andrea Cuesta. Police say Cuesta crawled 100-yards to the roadside until a passerby noticed her and called authorities.
ACSO Detectives and Crime Lab Scientists responded to the Tesla Scene where they continue to process the area for evidence.
In Modesto, CA, Daniel Gross, 19, and Melissa Leonardo, 25 were arrested. They will be transported back to Alameda County. That scene in Modesto is being processed by ACSO With assistance from the Stanislaus County Sheriff.
The suspects arrested for the murder of Lizette Cuesta are identified as:
-Daniel Gross, Age 19, Modesto, CA
-Melissa Leonardo, Age 25, Modesto, CA

A motive for the crime was not known.
