TENNESSEE — A Blount County Sheriff’s Deputy was shot near Knoxville on Thursday, officials confirmed.
The unidentified narcotics officer was taken to UT Medical Center where he later died.
According to WBIR, the shooting happened on ‘Kerrway Lane near the end of Pellissippi Parkway.’
A suspect was reportedly in custody.
It was unclear what led up to the gunfire.
