TEXAS — Two police officers were wounded and a suspect was killed during a shooting in Southwest Houston Tuesday, police confirmed.
The shooting occurred in the 8700 block of Sterlingame. Police told residents in the area to take cover as an ‘active shooter’ was at large. HPD and SWAT were on scene.
Both officers were taken to separate hospitals via police escort.
The officers came under fire as they were responding to multiple burglaries in the area.
The Mayor of Houston said in a press conference the suspects had recently stolen several guns.
One suspect was killed in the shootout and police say two gunmen are still at large.
On way to officer involved shooting if you’re a person of faith please pray for our officers.
