House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy has dropped out of the race for Speaker of the House.
The move comes as a shock as McCarthy was expected to have enough votes to win the seat.
The election has been postponed. It is reported that Speaker Boehner is personally urging Paul Ryan to seek the seat. Ryan said earlier today he is not running.
