SACRAMENTO, California — Spencer Stone who was hailed as a hero after the French train terror attack was stabbed multiple times in Sacramento, California.

On Thursday, October 8, at 12:46 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a call from a passerby that a subject had been stabbed in the area of 21st Street and K Street.

Stone was located on scene and transported to an area hospital by fire personnel.

It is believed that the victim was out with a group of friends when a physical altercation led to the victim being stabbed multiple times in his upper body.

Police do not suspect terrorism.

Detectives are releasing the attached video of what is believed to be the suspect vehicle fleeing the area.

Two suspects, involved in the altercation, are seen entering the car (believed to be a 2009-2012 Toyota Camry, dark in color) before it drives out of the area.

Statement from UC Davis: The family of Airman Spencer Stone appreciates the outpouring of love and support. Airman Stone is in serious condition at UC Davis Medical Center. His family requests that the media respect his right to privacy at this time.

UC Davis Medical Center defines “serious condition”: Vital signs may be unstable and perhaps not within normal limits. Patient is acutely ill. Indicators are questionable.
